Shape Rush is a challenging, fast-paced, rhythm-based platformer game where players take control of a geometric shape, and the goal is to jump, fly, and flip to avoid all kinds of obstacles and traps while hurtling forward non-stop. One touch of a spike or any hazard means death, and your shape-like character is sent back to the starting point instantly.

The game includes multiple levels, each with unique trap layouts, soundtrack, and increasing difficulty. To complete a level, you have to reach the end zone after passing through different portals, where your character transforms into Ship, Ball, and possibly other forms.

How to Play Shape Rush Game

In this game, the shape dashes toward automatically with no way to stop it. Sync your actions (jumping, flying, or flipping) with music to avoid crashing into any obstacles or traps along the course. Otherwise, you will have to restart the run from the very beginning.

Keep your eyes on the hazards ahead (spikes, gaps, and other traps), jump over dangers, fly through narrow paths, or react perfectly with wonderful timing to keep the run alive. Stay focused all the time, since just a second of distraction or a single poorly timed jump in this rhythm challenge is enough to kill the run.

Progress through portals and reach the highest progression

Throughout a level, portals transform your icon into different forms: Cube, Ship, and Ball (with extra forms likely to be added in next updates). Each one has unique controls:

• Cube: Tap or click to jump;
• Ship: Hold and release the control button to fly upward and descend;
• Ball: Tap or click to flip gravity.

Try to adapt your movements, timing, and strategy to master all available portals before reaching the end zone for 100% progression.

Later levels in Shape Rush are always more challenging, with faster paces and more complex obstacle patterns that require top-notch, flawless reflexes and timing. Expect to fail constantly before you can get further and further. Don’t rush or get frustrated easily; keep retrying, and you will master it.

Keep the sound on and use the beats. All 6 levels are choreographed beat-for-beat to unique soundtracks; listen to the beat to better anticipate upcoming obstacles and improve your timing.

Stay focused from the very first second. End the run even without a few percent of progression? That’s not fun, right? So, give your run all your best focus right at the initial moments.

Learn and master portal effects. Since portals change your form and physics, expect sudden changes and adjust quickly after entering the new portal to continue the run smoothly.

Practice, practice, and practice. As always, practice makes perfect! Keep trying and learn from your mistakes while getting your movements better in sync with the beat.
