As you travel farther, the speed gradually increases, creating tougher challenges that demand sharper reactions. Starfish collected during your runs act as in-game currency for unlocking different surfboards and jet skis. With vibrant summer visuals, simple controls, and endless runner-style gameplay, each attempt offers another opportunity to improve your distance. Steer through the waves, collect starfish along the way, and see how far you can ride without crashing!
GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW
Navigate Ocean Waves and Avoid Hazards
Wave Rider puts you in control of a surfboard or jet ski as you travel across an endless ocean course. Logs, rocks, holes, and waterfalls create obstacles that require careful steering and quick reactions. A single collision immediately ends your run, so staying alert is important when navigating dangerous sections. Your main objective is to avoid these hazards and cover the greatest possible distance.
Collect Starfish and Unlock New Rides
Starfish appear throughout the course and serve as currency for unlocking additional equipment. The game features dozens of surfboards and jet skis, giving you different options for your ocean adventures. Collecting more starfish helps you access these unlockable rides as you continue playing. However, reaching for a starfish near an obstacle can put your entire run at risk, so choosing a safe route remains important.
Handle Increasing Speed and Distance Challenges
The longer you survive, the faster your ride becomes, making obstacles increasingly difficult to avoid. Faster movement leaves less time to react, especially when several hazards appear along your path. Maintaining control requires accurate timing and quick steering adjustments as the pace increases. Each new attempt gives you another chance to improve your distance while collecting more starfish.
